The Ewon2005CD/4005CD industrial router with WAN connection is the all-in-one solution for machine builders, OEMs and system integrators for remote maintenance of machines and systems via the Internet. The industrial routers are complete IP routers that can route between the machine LAN and the WAN interface and also feature VPN technology.
An optional integrated modem can also be used for the Internet connection or as a fallback level for the WAN interface.
In addition to seamless integration into the software of the connected PLC or device, it is also possible to visualize and alarm the data and, optionally, to record data. If the VPN router is used together with the Talk2M connection portal, central user and device management and other security functions can also be used.

Security:
Open VPN 2.0 in SSL UDP or HTTPS mode. SSL/TLS is used for session authentication and the ESP protocol for secure tunnel transport via UDP. X509PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) is supported for session authentication, the TLS protocol for "key exchange", the cipher-independent EVP interface (DES, 3DES, AES, BF) for the encrypted tunnel connection and the HMAC-SHA1 algorithm for the tunneled data. Connection release optionally possible via key switch. Two-way authentication possible.
