The CSDIO modules are digital input/output modules for the modular CS series. They provide eight inputs and six outputs that can be used to detect contacts and sensors or to activate relays and coils, PLC inputs, etc.
The inputs accept standard DC or normally open contacts, and are configured via DIP switches for ground or potential related signals. In addition, each input has a DIP switch selectable filter to prevent contact bounce. Each input can also be configured as high or low active via software.
The modules are available with relay or NFET output, which have a switching capacity of 1 A per output (NFET DC only). Corresponding power relays are available for higher switching capacities.
The CSDIO modules communicate with the CS master via a backplane bus. The master, equipped with serial interfaces and an Ethernet port, allows the system to exchange data with PCs, PLC controllers and SCADA systems. The master accepts any configuration with up to 16 CS modules.
The internal management of the power supply allows modules to be changed during operation (hot swap). This considerably reduces repair times. The configuration is stored both in the modules and in the master, so that no reconfiguration is necessary when replacing a module. The modular and compact design of the CS series saves installation time and space in the control cabinet. The backplane bus provides the communication and power supply for the modules and can be mounted on DIN rail with a single click.
