The ETHSW50P is a very compact and robust Industrial Ethernet switch with 5x 10/100/1000BaseT(X). Of these, 4 ports are equipped with PoE and PoE+. Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a technology for transmitting power and data via a single Ethernet cable - simultaneously. PoE according to IEEE 802.3af delivers a power of 12.95 W to the end user, the extended PoE+ according to IEEE 802.3at even 21.9 W.
In addition to IEEE 802.3, IEEE802.3u, IEEE 802.3ab and IEEE802.3x, CoS according to IEEE 802.1p is also supported. Four queues (priority classes) are available per port for this purpose. The compact housing, certified to protection class IP30, was developed for use in harsh and demanding industrial environments where large temperature differences and physical stresses are known to occur.
The ETHSW50P is an unmanaged and plug and play switch with a non-blocking/wirespeed Layer 2 switching engine. Secure transmission is guaranteed thanks to the Store and Forward operating mode. The switchable Flooding Storm Control function protects against unwanted occupation of the available transmission rate by broadcast or multicast data frames.
