The Ethernet Switch ETHSWG8C is a compact industrial switch with 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports and was developed for use in harsh and demanding industrial environments where large temperature differences and physical stresses are not unknown. For this reason, it is the ideal module for building management, water supply companies, power plants, telecommunications installations, transportation monitoring and critical industrial applications.
In normal operation, broadcast packets are forwarded to all ports except the source port. If a number of packets is exceeded within a specified time interval, further broadcast or multicast packets are discarded. After this time interval (approx. 800 ms), forwarding starts again.
The ETHSWG8C has two different power supplies to ensure reliable operation. Fault-free operation is ensured even if one power supply fails.

mode and automatic MDI/MDI-X connection, jumbo frames up to 9216 bytes.
