The new modular controller series consists of a master module and up to 16 different slave modules. The slave modules can be PID control loops or analog input modules.
The CMSTRV2 model is the communication and control platform for all slave modules. The module communicates with the slave modules via rear connectors using a high-speed serial protocol. The modules are also supplied with power via these plug connections. The concept of the plug-in modules makes it possible to replace defective modules immediately and very easily (hot swap). Even while all other modules are in operation. The master module recognizes the new module and configures it automatically. This ensures that the machine is always functional and repair times are greatly minimized.
Thanks to the different serial interfaces and many different driver protocols, a large number of devices can communicate with the new modules.
The 10-Base-T/ 100-Base-TX Ethernet interface enables network connection.
