Universalregler Wachendorff URDR

This compact universal controller for the top-hat rail is an all-rounder. With a universal input for almost all commercially available temperature sensors, potentiometers and process signals, a universal power supply and modern programming, operating and control technologies, this controller can be used for almost all applications. The URDR can be used both as a classic PID controller and as a signal converter (18 different input signals and galvanically isolated analog output). In addition to an excellent price/performance ratio and high quality, the controller impresses with its robust housing and brilliant display.

Upper line: Actual value, 4-digit, green with 10.2 mm digit height
Lower line: setpoint, 4 digits, red with 7.6 mm digit height

Linear inputs: 0 V to 10 V, 0/4 mA to 20 mA, 0 mV to 40 mV
Potentiometer: 1 kOhm to 6/160 kOhm

Accuracy:

Tolerance at 25 °C ±0.2 % ± 1 digit for thermocouple input,
temperature sensor and analog signal.

Relay output:

2 changeover relays with 5 A at 250 VAC. Programmable
as control output for heating/cooling or alarms.

Analog/SSR output:

Selectable via external jumper.
Programmable analog output 0 VDC to 10 VDC or 0/4 mA to
20 mA with a resolution of up to 9,500 steps. Programmable
as control output or transfer of actual value/setpoint. SSR output 12
VDC at max. 30 mA.

Power supply:

24 VAC/DC to 230 VAC/DC +/-15 %, 50/60 Hz, 5.5 VA

Ambient conditions:

Operating temperature: 0 °C to +45 °C;
Relative humidity 35 % to 95 % rH, non-condensing.

Programming:

Programming and operation is menu-driven
menu-guided via the front buttons. With the programming kit, the
controller can also be programmed using Windows ™ software.
This software is compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 10.
The memory card has an internal battery. This makes it possible to
devices can be programmed without connecting the power supply
(up to 1000 programings with one battery).

Functionality:

The URDR universal controller includes a control output for two-point
control (with hysteresis) with P, PI, PD and PID behavior.
The output is time-proportional. In addition, a cycle control
for a control valve can be programmed.

Alarm operating modes:

They switch when the temperature or deviation exceeds or falls below the
deviation; band alarm; limit value or continuous signal switching.
Standby and hysteresis programmable.
In the event of sensor breakage: Reaction as for overtemperature.

Second control output (cooling)

Programmable instead of the 2nd alarm output: With P, I, PI, PD and
PID behavior. The output is time-proportional. Switching cycle,
ratio to heating, overlap or dead band are programmable.

Measuring cycle:

Programmable up to 4.1 msec (242 Hz).

Cycle time:

Internal cycle time is 100ms (cannot be changed).

User input:

Switchable via potential-free contact.
Alternatively adjustable functions: Hold/freeze values, ON/OFF
for the auto-tuning function, switching from automatic to manual function,
Start of program cycles/settings, selection of
setpoint 1 to 4.

Measuring transformer input:

max. 50 mA with 100 ms. Measuring cycle for
Amperometric instrument transformers.
