Ewon Flexy routers offer much more than just remote access to machines in the event of a fault. Once secure remote access has been set up, this communication channel offers many opportunities for new, data-based services such as predictive maintenance, optimization of process sequences and cross-site collaboration between production centers. The Flexy router proves to be extremely flexible in its application options thanks to the design of the hardware and the multitude of functions. Secure remote access via VPN and routing from WAN to LAN are obligatory. The focus is on the diverse data services for providing, visualizing, alerting or processing data from connected devices using a dedicated user program.
The tried-and-tested Talk2m connection portal ideally complements other web services (e.g. data mailbox, alarm relay function). With the M2Web function, it is possible to access web visualizations of the connected devices directly from any end device simply via a web browser.
WLAN and mobile radio extensions
enable an Internet connection without the involvement of a company network; as well as the accessibility of locations that do not have broadband Internet.
Talk2m connection portal
for central device and user management. It establishes the connection between the users (e.g. service technicians) and the Ewon router via OpenVPN.
Firewall-friendly
outgoing connections via standard ports (443 TCP/1194 UDP) allow firewalls to be passed in accordance with the rules. Proxy servers are also supported.

Flexy 10x: the IIoT Gateway
The Flexy 10x family includes all the classic Ewon functions except the routing capability to the serial and EtherNet interfaces. It is designed for on-site data collection, monitoring of machine performance data (KPI) and alarm management.

Flexy 20x: IIoT gateway and remote access router
The Flexy 20x router combines routing and Gateway functions between WAN, LAN and serial fieldbus devices. It allows full transparent remote maintenance access to all connected serial and EtherNet devices.
