You can create your own dashboard for your Ewon Flexy router in just a few minutes without any training or specialist knowledge using an online designer, which we also like to call an online specification sheet generator. The designer is available 24/7 and can be accessed via any browser. Using a unique dashboard key, the dashboard to be created can be shared with colleagues so that these colleagues can also collaborate on the development.
The highlight: the KPI dashboard works purely with local data. No data is pushed to the cloud. The data does not leave your machine either. You only access this data externally via a secure VPN connection. Wachendorff Prozesstechnik's Ewon Flexy can access the control data (blocks, inputs and outputs, flag areas, etc.) directly. The VISUALYS KPI dashboard makes use of this ingenious feature and retrieves the data from the control system and visualizes it in a really appealing, modern way.
Three topics were absolutely important to us during development:
- Ease of use: anyone should be able to create their own dashboard without any prior knowledge or training. After all, you certainly don't read a manual to use an app on your cell phone.
- No installation: We firmly believe that software that needs to be installed only brings new challenges (updates, compatibility, multi-user capability, etc.). Nice side effect: The user always has access to the latest version and is automatically supplied with all updates.
- Mobile use: Tablets and smartphones are still not standard in the industry. In many countries, however, some manufacturers are already equipping their machines directly with tablets, thereby saving on operating devices. Many control systems nowadays offer a web server and no longer necessarily require a stationary operating device on the machine. The KPI dashboard has been developed to be responsive, i.e. no matter which end device you use our dashboard on, it always adapts perfectly to the screen. Oh yes: and you don't need an app to use it either.
