The ETHSW6 Ethernet switches have been developed for use in harsh industrial environments and comply with CE, UL, TÜV and FCC requirements. The ETHSW6 series includes 5/6-port Ethernet switches that provide two solutions,
one with 6 RJ45 ports and the other with 4 RJ45 ports and an optical ST/SC port for your industrial applications.
The ETHSW6 series protects itself from receiving too many broadcast packets.
During normal operation, broadcast packets are sent to all ports except the source port.
The ETHSW6 series will suppress all broadcast or multicast packets if the number of packets exceeds a limit in a preset time.
When the preset time period (approx. 800 ms) has elapsed, the received broadcast or multicast packets will continue until the alarm value is reached again. The ETHSW6 series provides two redundant power supplies that can be connected simultaneously to DC voltage sources. Should one supply fail, the other works as a backup to automatically maintain the supply.
