FIT-INOX is a keypad technology which, like DIGI-INOX, uses a 2 mm thick front panel and 3 mm thick stainless steel keycaps as a starting point. The material used here is also high-quality AISI 316L stainless steel.

The smooth key actuation of the metal keyboards in the FIT-INOX range is made possible by silicone mats. These either meet snap domes as the actual switching element or are themselves designed as a direct-contact element. The buttons are punched directly out of the metal front and welded to a button base. This makes it possible to insert an intermediate layer made of plastic or Poron. This can be used to achieve a degree of protection of IP68 or to prevent LABS emissions.
